How to Enroll at Desert Learning Academy

To enroll your student at Desert Learning Academy, please complete the following steps. Begin by completing the application form linked below. After submitting the application, an Independent Study Contract will be emailed to you. Once all steps are completed, you will receive a final confirmation of enrollment from Ms. Mendoza, School Counselor.

Middle School Overview

For students in grades 6–8, the Independent Studies Program provides a flexible, hybrid, self-paced learning model designed for independent, motivated learners. Guided by credentialed teachers, students complete coursework online using the Edgenuity learning management system, with regular check-ins to ensure progress and support. Students are required to attend on-campus, in-person instruction once a week to receive direct guidance, enrichment, and academic support.

This program accommodates diverse learning styles and schedules, making it ideal for students pursuing extracurricular commitments, early graduation, or alternative education paths. Personalized learning plans help students stay on track for college and career readiness.

Students are required to attend an in-person orientation to complete their enrollment.
